My Review: With the same producers of 300, Immortals is loosely based on Greek mythology and has no great story-telling aspect but, like 300, it’s all about the visual elements that makes this movie worth watching. I found 300 to be an impressive movie, being all digitally shot (except one scene which includes horses), so it was to be expected that Immortals would have the same look and feel. 300 was less talk more action whereas Immortals was slightly the opposite.
Towards the end, all I wanted to see was the fighting scenes, I didn’t care much about the dialogue because the storyline was awkwardly imbalanced. Greek mythology is an interesting topic and when done right it would be a great theme for a movie, but Immortals didn’t get into the details of the gods nor was it on the right track.
The performances of the actors was below average and the visual effects is all that this movie has to offer, 6/10
