Colombiana Review

Release date: August 26, 2011
Genre: Action

Summary: A young woman, after witnessing her parents’ murder as a child in Bogota, grows up to be a stone-cold assassin.

My Review: I’ll keep this short. Zoe Saldana was ok but the story was weak and stereotypical. It’s not convincing and a desperate attempt. One example, when she said “I want to be a killer. Will you help me?” 1. Couldn’t they have just gotten her to talk in Colombian with subtitles instead of a fake accent; 2. which kid would ever say something like that unless they were messed up in the head; 3. Shouldn’t this have raised a concern with the uncle? You lost a child, why would you let another child lead this life style. It’s so far-fetched that it’s hard to take the movie seriously.

If you have time to kill then go ahead and watch this film, but unfortunately, I rate this movie 5/10.
