13 Review

MY REVIEW:This movie is the English version of the original French movie, but directed by the same person. The movie stars Jason Statham, Alexander Skarsgard, Sam Riley and Mickey Rourke. It was supposed to be an intense thriller but the first 30 minutes were so boring. Jason Statham has a lot of potential, I just don’t know why he’s always in the same types of movies. All his movies have the same style and they always seem to be a fail. 50 Cent has a small role in this movie, ironically he was in a movie called 12 too (12 & 13 ahaha), and his acting has still not improved – please stick to music.
I thought Saw was sick & twisted, but this one is stupidly sick & twisted. It’s supposed to be a secret world of Russian Roulette type of gambling, but it was poorly made, bad acting, and not intensely entertaining as it should have been. I wish I had watched the original before watching the English version because the original is usually better than the remake. And the interrogation scene with the detective was horrible, like seriously the cop was such a bad actor. I guess I should have had a nail-biting experience but it was more of a *yawn-look-at-my-watch* experience.

Unfortunately, although Jason Statham, Mickey Rourke, and Ray Winstone’s performances were great, this movie was a total miss – 5/10
